The Colorado landscape and its wildlife offer a lifetime of painting inspiration. The disappearance of the vast, empty spaces of the American West should be recorded by artists, photographers, and writers who feel the call. The loss of this grand emptiness is a metaphor for our loss of innocence as a nation. No one is building an 'ark` for coyote, fox, and mountain lion displaced by development and drilling. These creatures are disappearing with the landscape. It`s important to pay homage to the wild heart of America while it still exists. In addition to travel and public speaking, this job involved writing and illustrating educational material. <BR><BR> This exposure led to a job offer from an educational publisher. Nancee Jean left the publishing company, moved to Colorado, and started her own development house, providing creative and prepress services to publishers. Although this job also had demands, it allowed Nancee Jean time to return to her first love, painting.<BR><BR> Always an active outdoor enthusiast, it was only natural that the subject matter that appealed to her was the natural beauty of her surroundings. The unsurpassed beauty of western Colorado provides the artist with unlimited opportunities to paint powerful landscapes and awe-inspiring wildlife. <BR><BR> Painting animals of any kind appeals to Nancee Jean.
